Pack Your Bags! The Field Trip Starts Next Week
Hi! Welcome to the Field Trip newsletter. I am so excited for this space and all of the people that have joined me on this new adventure, looking for ways to bring the world around us into your home to share with your children. It’s going to be a good time!
When I thought about starting this newsletter, I asked myself what I would like to get out of it if I were just reading it and was not writing and creating it. I would want ideas that are tangible, yet practical. Ideas for bringing other cultures into my home to share with my son, especially since we can’t travel right now in the way that we would like. I’d want something that transports me, yet is also educational. I’d want variety and the excitement of not knowing what the newsletter will hold today sort-of thing. I’d want art and music. Food and finds. Books to pick up and travel tips as takeaways. I’d want something that I look forward to getting instead of searching for the unsubscribe button. I’d want all of that and so much more…
Well, that is what I hope to give you! Little nuggets of wonder in every inbox that opens it. A place that welcomes the world around us into our homes and takes us on a little field trip with each newsletter. I can’t wait to travel the world with you!

A few notes before we go… If you are part of the free version, you will get a newsletter once a month, most likely on a Thursday. I wanted to pick a day closer to the weekend, allowing you time to think about some of the activities that I have planned to share with you, but then not too early in the week, and it gets lost in your inbox. I know that’s what would happen to me anyway. If you are a paid subscriber, the same applies, but you will get a weekly newsletter. Everything will begin on February 4, next week. I’m so excited to start the Field Trip community here.
You can follow my own family field trip adventures here.
And if you don’t have my book, Family Field Trip, and are interested in picking up a copy, you can buy it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop, Indie Bound, or through my local book store, Square Books (they have signed copies). See you next week!
